Ember Field
Built from twenty translucent glazes, Ember Field reads differently at every hour of the day — a landscape of memory that shifts between dusk and dawn as the light moves across its surface.
View in Collection →Atelier Lumière is a contemporary art gallery devoted to modern painting, sculpture and mixed media — a considered space where established masters and bold new voices hang side by side.
Founded in 2009 in the heart of the old quarter, Atelier Lumière began as a single white room above a bookbindery. Fifteen years on, we remain guided by the same conviction: that art is a conversation, and every great work deserves to be heard.
Our programme spans four curated exhibitions a year, a rotating permanent collection, and a residency studio that welcomes artists from six continents. We believe in slow looking — in the kind of encounter that rewards the visitor who stays a little longer than they planned.
Every piece that enters our walls is documented, researched and presented with the care it deserves. For us, curation is not a gate but a guide: we bring the work, the context and the artist's intent together, and let the visitor complete the meaning.
Six pieces from our permanent collection, selected by our curatorial team for their dialogue with the season — each with a story worth pausing for.

View in Collection →Cast in a single pour and finished by hand over six months, Still Point holds a tension between mass and weightlessness — a sculpture that seems to hover just above the plinth that carries it.
View in Collection →Photographed over seven consecutive winters, Salt Lines traces the retreat of a shoreline in silver gelatin prints — a patient meditation on erosion, time and the quiet authority of the sea.
View in Collection →Hand-written letters, pigment and cotton thread converge in a diary-like work about distance and devotion. Marsh's quiet collages reward the visitor who leans in close.
View in Collection →A single hairline of gold leaf divides a field of slate. Meridian is a study in thresholds — the moment of transition, the line between one state and the next, drawn with absolute precision.
View in Collection →Cut from a single block over three months, Night Garden inverts the woodcut tradition — black blooms on a moonlit ground, printed in an edition of twelve and signed in pencil.
View in Collection →Three exhibitions are currently on view or opening soon. Private viewings can be arranged by appointment with our curatorial team.
Amara Voss returns with twelve new paintings exploring the boundaries of colour perception — works that hum quietly rather than shout.
Curated by Isabelle FontaineA major survey of postwar bronze and marble sculpture, reuniting works that have not shared a room for more than forty years.
Curated by Dr. Henrik ValeOur annual showcase of the residency's brightest graduates — painting, photography and installation from six first-time exhibitors.
Open Call · Submissions Close 15 OctOur current featured artist works in layers — sometimes forty before she considers a canvas finished. Her practice is a form of archaeology in reverse: building a surface that slowly reveals what it has buried.
"A painting is finished when it starts to answer back. Before that, I am only arranging the question. Light is the last material I add — it is the only one I cannot control."
Voss's solo exhibition, Chromatic Silence, is on view in our East Hall until 28 September. Her works are held in eleven public collections across Europe and North America.
